Extensive geotechnical and materials testing and inspection for a wide range of projects.
For over 40 years, GM BluePlan has provided geotechnical, materials testing, and inspection services for numerous projects throughout Southwestern Ontario, particularly across Bruce and Grey Counties.
Our Materials Testing team is based out of our Owen Sound location and managed by senior technicians with decades of experience in the field. Our supporting laboratory and field staff are highly-trained and qualified to perform a range of field and laboratory services.
Our team has the ability to provide services for a variety of projects including institutional and municipal construction projects, as well as many private commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential developments of all sizes.
Materials testing and inspection can be completed for roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, arenas, factories, malls, subdivisions, and housing and retirement communities.
Expertise & Certifications
We operate our own laboratory located in Owen Sound and are certified by the Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL) to complete testing for soils, aggregates, and concrete.
Additionally, we hold a license from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) for the transportation and use of portable moisture and density gauges utilized for field compaction testing.
GM BluePlan participates yearly in the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) correlation testing for aggregate and concrete testing laboratories.
