Underground Storage Tank Removal and Petroleum Hydrocarbon Delineation and Remediation

 In Environmental Engineering

GM BluePlan was retained for the removal of 3 underground storage tanks (USTs) from the property which were used for the storage of gasoline and diesel fuel. After completing the removal of the USTs, evident petroleum hydrocarbon impacts were identified. Additional subsurface investigations were completed and remediation of the impacts were summarized and a work plan was put in place. Remedial efforts included the containment and management of 1,000 litres of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted water and documentation of remedial efforts was completed.
