GM BluePlan was retained to design upgrades to the North Perth Wastewater Treatment Plant and associated sewage conveyance system to respond to recommendations described in the North Perth Wastewater Masterplan (Oct 2015, GM BluePlan). Upgrades included: a new concrete aerobic digester for improved biosolids stabilization, including an extension to the administration building to accommodate new process equipment; a new headworks facility with a mechanical bar screen and custom grit and grease removal system; a higher efficiency UV disinfection system; a new 500mm PVC effluent forcemain for increased redundancy including a trenchless section installed via auger boring; and pump station process pipe modifications to increase system flexibility.
